Medicontur Premium Class Budapest 2022
Scientific presentations, workshops, interactive sessionsMedicontur organized the 13th Medicontur Premium Class in April 2022 in Budapest, which is a two-day event for every ophthalmologist interested in Medicontur premium lenses. The event provides a platform to learn more about these premium IOLs through presentations, workshops, a wet lab and interactive discussions.
On the first day of the event we welcomed the participating distributors and ophthalmologists in our Product Plant in Zsámbék for a Factory visit which was opened with a presentation by László Kontur, the CEO of Medicontur.
The afternoon program with scientific presentations was based in the Budapest Marriott Hotel with a nice view to the river Danube. The presentation session was opened by Alexandra Kontur, MD, PhD Scientific Director of Medicontur, and was followed by further lectures by Carlos Roche-de-Lossada, MD, PhD, FEBO and József Ferenc Győry, MD, Msc. The afternoon session’s focus was on presbyopia-correcting IOLs and the first clinical experiences of the EDOF technology.
We organized a sightseeing entertainment program for the participants and a divine dinner at Rézkakas Bistro with a Hungarian atmosphere for the evening.
The second day of the event was held in the Medicontur Office at Budapest, where the scientific presentations were carried out by Alexandra Kontur, MD, PhD, Prof. Sathish Srinivasan MBBS, FRCSEd, FRCOphth, FACS and Mónika Adányi the Medical Affairs Manager at Medicontur with the main subject being toric IOLs. The afternoon was about implementing all the theory into practice during the interactive sessions by solving case studies, practicing IOL calculations, and application trainings at the wet lab.
At the closing ceremony, the participants received a certificate for joining and accomplishing the Medicontur Premium Class event.
